Situated at Wentloog Corporate Park in Cardiff, a site that was purpose built, the premises house two of the most technologically advanced production lines in the world. It plays host to a beautiful Japanese garden and is the natural habitat for numerous geese that flock here every summer. The £4million investment in a new continuous production line resulted in the move to Wentloog Corporate Park, where a 48,000 square ft factory is at the heart of our composite panel manufacturing. With over 100 staff members across the 2 companies, Eurobond Laminates and Eurobond Doors are a big player in their specific field and the telecommunications and IT set up is paramount to the smooth running and success of the business. Having used different suppliers for the mobiles, landlines and telephone system over the last 10 years or so, it was decided to look at how these could be consolidated not only to cut cost but to streamline the processes and improve the overall levels of service being received.

The initial project was to look at both the landlines and mobiles for the business as they were using BT for the line rentals and call traffic and direct with a major Network for the mobiles. Freshbaked communications were able to look at the marketplace to determine the best fit for the business on a cost and functionality level. With so many people spending significant amounts of time out of the office, a solution to allow them to communicate proactively and cost effectively was much needed and it was decided to implement a Blackberry BES solution for 16 of the key users. It was important to look at the return on investment for the increase in the monthly bill against the longer term benefits to the business and this investment was realised after only a few months with a noticeable increase in productivity. With new technologies emerging onto the marketplace, the decision was made at contract renewal to replace the Blackberry devices with a ‘Windows Mail for Exchange’ solution and with the ongoing face to face management of the account constantly driving costs down, the company will be saving in excess of 60% of their monthly costs over the next 24 months. This showed the flexibility of products and services that were available to them without having to change supplier.
