A fresh baked team for Cardiff PR agency

A Cardiff-based public relations and marketing agency has strengthened its team with a new appointment and two promotions, following a successful first year in business and a string of new contract wins.

Lisa Hale, 23, joins the freshbaked PR team as account manager. Lisa, who previously worked at Freshwater PR, graduated from Cardiff Law School in 2007 and has since worked on high profile clients, including Tesco, Specsavers, John Lewis and Mermaid Quay.

The agency’s performance over the past year has also led to the promotion of Lyndsey Jenkins, 27, to account director. Lyndsey, a committee member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Cymru Wales, has been instrumental in a number of major new business wins for the boutique PR agency in the last year and oversees the majority of key accounts.

Emma Breeze, 22, joined the team as a trainee in May 2008 and has recently been promoted to account executive. Emma is a graduate from Cardiff University where she obtained a BA honours in Journalism, Film and Media Studies and, prior to joining freshbaked PR, gained experience at BBC Wales. Emma’s clients include Indigo Washroom Solutions, Ktsowensthomas, COS- the Complete Office Solution and Budget Vets.

Jonathan Hollins, freshbaked PR managing director, said: “Our hard work over the last year has certainly paid off, allowing us to expand the team and reward those who have helped us achieve the position we are in today.

"As a service sector business recruiting and retaining talented people is central to our business model, and our clients can expect even more from us this year. Despite the current climate, people seem to like our innovative approach to public relations and we are positive about the future of freshbaked PR.”

On her appointment, Lisa said: “These are exciting times for freshbaked PR and I am glad to be part of such a bright and innovative team of PR and marketing professionals. I hope my skills and experience will help shape another triumphant year for the business.”

Account director, Lyndsey, added: “The fact that we are recruiting and promoting in such a challenging environment is testament to our efforts over the past year. I am delighted with my new role and look forward to another exciting year at freshbaked PR as we continue to provide influential PR and marketing solutions to businesses across south Wales.”

The recently promoted freshbaked PR team, were instrumental in winning the PR account for the launch of the new Radisson Blu Hotel in Cardiff, following a competitive three-way pitch against long-established national agencies.
