freshbaked PR shortlisted for two CIPR PRide Awards
freshbaked PR has made the final shortlist in two categories of the celebrated CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) PRide Awards which recognise public relations success and achievement in Wales.
The PR division of the freshbaked Group has been shortlisted in the Outstanding Small PR Consultancy category, while account director Lyndsey Jenkins has been shortlisted in the Outstanding Young Communicator category.
Since it was established a little over a year ago, freshbaked PR has not only weathered the economic storm of the last 12 months, but has gone on to develop strong foundations for further growth in 2009/10.
In addition to landing the PR account for the launch of the new Radisson Blu Hotel in Cardiff, after a competitive three-way pitch against established national agencies with a Cardiff base, freshbaked PR has recently secured accounts with ice hockey team the Cardiff Devils, national recruitment agency Gap Personnel and luxury serviced apartment company acityabode.
“Reaching the final shortlist is proof that our work and expert staff have been judged amongst the best in the UK” comments freshbaked PR’s Managing Director, Jonathan Hollins. “It’s a great morale booster for everyone at the company, and fantastic recognition for the hard work and creativity we put in to everything we do. It also proves the value of our focus on generating a measurable return on investment for our clients.
“While we appreciate that this is only the start of a long journey, we have had a successful first year, have been recognised for our creative campaigns and have put the stepping stones in place to develop a strong talented team.”
Ann Mealor, CIPR Acting Director General said: “This year more than ever, consultancies and organisations entering the PRide Awards want to spotlight their achievements while boosting morale - and being a PRide finalist does just that. Having gone through rigorous judging to reach the shortlist is a great achievement and I offer my congratulations to all those who have reached this stage of the competition.”
Twelve regions participate in the PRide Awards which attracted 1,448 entries this year. The judging process is rigorous with a national panel of industry experts assessing the shortlisted entries and choosing the medallists. Winners will be announced at a black tie awards event held at the Holland House Hotel in Cardiff on Friday 16th October.
