freshbaked gains coveted IIP Leadership and Management accolade
freshbaked has become one of a handful of organisations to be accredited with the coveted Investors in People Leadership and Management accolade.
It is a particular achievement for the Business Services Group given the considerable growth it has experienced in the past three years.
Since freshbaked was awarded the Investors in People status three years ago, the company has grown from being a training provider employing 16 staff to a 62 strong team with seven divisions covering a range of business services including training, recruitment, PR, design and communications.
Applauded by assessor Marion Straker for having ‘an enthusiastic and highly motivated workforce’, freshbaked was recommended to the IIP panel due to the ‘impressive’ culture of the organization, the company’s approach to change and staff development, as well as the management development strategy that is directly linked to enabling the Group to achieve its ambitious plans for the future.
freshbaked HR director, Kate Matthews said: “To achieve Investors in People status is a huge tribute to every employee of the Group. To achieve the Leadership and Management Model as well is the icing on the cake given the changes that we have gone through in the past three years. There are very few organisations in Wales, indeed throughout the UK as a whole, who achieved this coveted standard and we are therefore very grateful to all of our staff for their hard work and dedication.
“We have been given some areas of continuous improvement which will be extremely beneficial as we take the Group forward through our ambitious growth plans, but we are confident that with our talented team behind us we will be successful in our aspirations.”
