MD of freshbaked People means business
Aimee Bateman, managing director of the recruitment division of the freshbaked Business Services Group, has been shortlisted at the Welsh Women Mean Business Award 2010.
One of four individuals shortlisted for ‘Best Small Business Leader’, Aimee is recognised for her outstanding leadership and management achievements since starting freshbaked People 11 months ago.
The Awards, sponsored by Go compare.com, celebrate the business success and entrepreneurial talent of women who have succeeded in the management of SMEs across Wales, and congratulate those who have demonstrated the ability to convert business aspirations into reality.
Aimee, 28, established freshbaked People in March 2009 to fulfil the staffing requirements of organisations across south Wales and to provide candidates with training and support to further them in their careers.
On being shortlisted for Best Small Business Leader, Aimee said: “I am extremely proud to be listed as a finalist at the Welsh Women Mean Business Awards. Since establishing freshbaked People, the division has grown enormously. I have relished the opportunity to deploy a dynamic recruitment model and to work alongside many successful organisations in a bid to develop positive, lasting relationships.
Since establishing freshbaked People, Aimee has strengthened the recruitment team and has expanded the services provided to employers and candidates.
Richard Matthews, managing director of freshbaked Business Services Group commented: “In establishing freshbaked People, Aimee brought with her all of the tools necessary to build a successful recruitment business that dismisses the negative press so often attached to the sector. To have been shortlisted for a Welsh Women Mean Business Award is a tribute to the hard work and commitment that Aimee has demonstrated since day one. Most importantly, the nomination congratulates Aimee on building and developing a team which displays a genuine compassion for people.”
The Welsh Women Mean Business Awards will take place on 11th March.
