freshbaked make significant changes to aid expansion plans

After rapid growth and continued success in its first six years, freshbaked Business Services Group is restructuring to reflect recent developments and allow for its ambitious future growth plans.

Changes are being made internally at the Cardiff-based business services provider to formalise the Group structure bringing all the separate freshbaked businesses together under one single operating company.

This will mean that each existing business will now become a division of freshbaked, offering a more integrated and improved service to new and existing clients. In addition, changes are also being made at a board level.

Jonathan Hollins has been promoted to Group Marketing Director, to concentrate on cross-selling within the business and developing strategic sales and marketing plans. Lyndsey Jenkins also joins the board as a director, taking over the overall management and day-to-day running of freshbaked PR. These significant changes come at an important time for the fast-growing business services group as it continues to remain on target to turnover £10m by 2012.

Richard Matthews, chief executive for freshbaked Business Services Group, said: “Since launching six years ago freshbaked has continued to go from strength to strength. However, we are now at a stage where we are focusing on taking the business to the next level to reach our target of £10m. In order to achieve our ambitious growth plans we have made a number of significant changes to the structure of our business.

“Whilst we have quickly built up an excellent reputation as being innovators in our field, we recognise that in order to continue to be innovators, we need a focused marketing effort that reinforces our offerings as a business services provider. This is particularly important as we look to translate and introduce the freshbaked brand into new geographical regions across the UK.

“Consequently, Jon Hollins has been promoted to group marketing director to allow us to focus our efforts in this area. Having over 20 years marketing experience, Jon is well placed to take on this new role. Lyndsey, who is a talented PR professional has been instrumental in the growth of freshbaked PR over the past two years. I am confident that Lyndsey will continue to lead the PR team forward through our growth plans whilst maintaining and providing a robust and expert service for our clients. These promotions are a testament to our commitment of looking to further grow our market share to become the major business services provider in south Wales and the south West of England.

“Undoubtedly, the next couple of years will be very exciting as we look to take the business forward. The considerable success we have achieved for clients to date has been born out of the hard work of the talented team of staff we employ and this is reflected in these developments. We are confident that these changes will stand us in good stead as we look to grow the business further.”

Established in 2004 by husband and wife team Richard and Kate Matthews, freshbaked has diversified from its original training roots into recruitment, communications, PR and design. Earlier this year, freshbaked expanded its offering into the south west of England opening an office in Bristol’s Aztec West Business Park.
