A team of leaders from a Global Combat System's company in Bridgend, South Wales are celebrating having completed the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) level two award in team leading.

The first line supervisory teams from Glascoed BAE Systems have each received a national certificate of recognition as the company works towards a ‘high performance culture’.

The ‘High-performance culture’ initiative aims to encourage loyalty and commitment from employees through creating advocates, who are positive about the business to customers and colleagues.

The level two award in team leading covers modules including Developing yourself as a Team Leader, Dealing with Change in the Workplace, Workplace Communication and Leading Your Team in the Workplace.

Aided by highly experienced trainers from freshbaked Corporate, the staff at Glascoed demonstrated the first steps in aiming to improve the way they operate as managers and implement the techniques learnt.
