Joint venture forms HR management consultancy

A high-level HR management consultancy has been formed in a joint venture between commercial law firm M&A Solicitors and HR specialist Simon Goldsworthy.

The business aims to offer a one stop HR service applying experience and expertise, and not just a text book approach. It provides clients with the strategy, advice and services needed to employ and manage a workforce, specialising in hr solutions, redundancy and change, management training, mentoring, health and safety and executive recruitment through its operating divisions.

The move is a natural step for M&A Solicitors which has built up a strong reputation in the corporate sector since it was formed over 10 years ago working with high profile clients including Cardiff City Football Club and Bluestone leisure development in Pembrokeshire.

The new venture is headed up by managing partner Simon Goldsworthy who has over 20 years HR experience under his belt having been a HR director at Hitachi, Grundig and Thomson. Covering UK multi-site operations Simon’s expertise covers industrial relations, redundancy, site closures and change management. He has engaged a strong, seasoned team of experts with nearly 200 years combined experience!

He says: “Midas People Management has been formed to offer business organisations and their leaders a one stop HR service. We have a strong and seasoned team of HR experts which has no equal in south Wales and our aim is to combine all this expertise and talent and deliver something better, valued, practical and to become a true people management partner to business. Clients don’t want black and white advice, they want problem solvers who can interpret the grey.”

“I am delighted to be partnered with such a strong team as M&A Solicitors who have built up an excellent reputation in the market. The joint venture gives further weight to what we are about; with on tap employment law expertise, commercial know-how and a great track record of success in business.”

Senior partner at M&A Solicitors, Alan Whiteley adds: “In the current climate, we are finding that clients are increasingly asking for more than just expert legal advice. With redundancies set to rise as the downturn deepens, we are in an excellent position to provide a seamless service covering every aspect of the process from employment law advice to HR consultancy.

“Simon is an extremely well regarded and experienced HR professional who we are delighted to be in partnership with and we’re confident that the combined team of experts will provide a winning formula for Midas People Management.”
