Fly high at Fonmon Castle with a £1.5m helicopter

The St David's Polo Club has for the first time in its 11 year history formed a strategic partnership with Welsh helicopter company Veritair to offer guests at this year's annual polo match the opportunity to arrive in style on a

The charity event will return to Fonmon Castle for the second year running on 28th June. Raising money for The Prince’s Trust Cymru, the event which has previously attracted the likes of Charlotte Church, Jodie Kidd and rugby star Tom Shanklin, has over the years become as much about the glamour and entertainment on the day as the polo itself and this year plans to be no different.

Geoff Lloyd, Chairman of St David’s Polo Club says: “We’re adding even more glamour to this year’s polo match in Fonmon and are delighted to have entered a strategic partnership with Veritair. A day at the polo is a day not to be missed and what better way is there to arrive than in style by a helicopter. I am sure that the return trips will prove very popular among our guests who include some of Wales’ finest business people and celebrities alike.”

Established in 1982 by Julian Verity, Veritair is Wales’ longest standing air operator and aviation enterprise, providing helicopter services for the public sector and business community in the United Kingdom and abroad. Based at Cardiff’s heliport, the commercial helicopter operator has recently expanded into the leisure market, offering people the opportunity to fly to corporate events, weddings and social events in style.

Says Managing Director of Veritair, Julian Verity: “Air travel has become the chosen form of transport at the most high profile outdoor sporting events - its appeal for many is shorter travel times without the added cost of fuel and parking. With a journey time of less than ten minutes from Cardiff Heliport to Fonmon Castle and no traffic to contend with, travelling by helicopter will be the ultimate way to arrive at this year’s polo. By cruising up to speeds of 130mph we will be able to offer multiple trips throughout the day.”

Veritair will be operating a luxurious fleet of five seat, jet powered helicopters. Return trips start from £135.00 per person. For more information please visit http://www.veritair.com or telephone 029 20 465880.
