Polo secures two team sponsors

Polo secures two team sponsors

Two local companies have been secured as the team sponsors for this year's international polo match that takes place at Fonmon Castle this Sunday.

James & Jenkins will be launching their JEEP dealership with a formidable team to challenge Griffin Mill's Fiat team for the Le Monde Trophy in the charity match organized by the St David’s Polo Club.

The teams have been selected by Peter Grace of Ascot Park Polo Club with a mixture of top quality amateur and professional players to ensure a competitive and exciting match.

This is the 11th year that the St David’s Polo Club has hosted a charity polo match in south Wales, and the event has now firmly established itself as one of the annual highlights of the Welsh social calendar.

On announcing the team’s sponsorship, Geoff Lloyd, Chairman of St David’s Polo Club says: "The teams this year have been chosen to ensure a really competitive match and it’s great that we gained the support of these two local car dealerships. Polo is synonymous with tradition and glamour and any organization that gets involved with this event will immediately benefit from the prestigious reputation of St David’s Polo Club, whilst also fundraising for The Prince's Trust Cymru.”

Anthony Griffin, managing director of Griffin Mill, says: “Griffin Mill is pleased to be sponsoring St David’s Polo. This is a special occasion in the Welsh calendar and we’re pleased to be supporting an event that represents quality, enjoyment and great value for money - a true reflection of the Fiat 500 brand.”
