UK`s leading climbers set for Cardiff`s first climbing festival

Three of the UK`s leading climbers are coming to south Wales this summer for Cardiff`s first climbing festival.

Boulders Indoor Climbing Centre will welcome Katherine Schirrmacher, Gaz Parry and Steve McClure to host a series of climbing technique classes on Saturday 22nd August and Sunday 23rd August as part of the Cardiff-based centre’s first anniversary celebrations.

With over half a decade of climbing experience between them, having climbed all over the world, the trio are set to teach climbers of all abilities improvement techniques over the two day summer festival.

On taking part in the festival, Katherine Schirrmacher a former-member of the British Competition Climbing Team said: “I am really looking forward to teaming up with Gaz and Steve to share our love of climbing and experience with fellow climbers in Wales. The concept of a climbing festival is brilliant and a great way for Boulders to celebrate their first anniversary. Boulders is an ultra modern climbing facility and it is fantastic that such a unique sport is readily available for people of all ages and abilities right it the heart of the city.”
