Watkins & Gunn only firm in Gwent to gain national recognition

A law firm based in Pontypool and Newport is the first practice in Gwent to become accredited by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) after demonstrating experience and expertise in the field of personal injury claims.

As well as being one of only ten firms in Wales to achieve corporate accreditation, two of Watkins & Gunn’s specialist solicitors have also gained individual recognition, meaning that the firm now has four lawyers fully accredited by APIL.

With nearly twenty years experience of handling complex personal injury and clinical negligence claims, Partner Jonathan Wellington has successfully achieved accreditation as a Fellow of APIL, while solicitor Lisa Guscott has gained APIL Senior Litigator status.

Established in 1990, APIL campaigns for better laws to help people who are injured or become ill through no fault of their own. APIL accreditation demonstrates that a client will find well qualified personal injury lawyers with specialist skills, competencies and experience to deal with their case.
