Cardiff Devils launch online TV portal
The Cardiff Devils are bringing ice hockey to life with the launch of its own online TV portal.
Devils TV has been created by Welsh technology company Lifeonshow.tv in association with the club’s official videographers, Clear Cut Vision, and will feature highlights, matches, player interviews, community events and latest news from the Devils as they embark on the 09/10 Elite League Season.
Award winning Adam Price of Lifeonshow.tv, who are also creators of Cardiff & Co’s City on Show platform, says: “Video is now proving to be the next big thing on the internet and its popularity can clearly be seen by looking at sites like YouTube. We’re looking to take this popularity forward to enable businesses and clubs like the Cardiff Devils to bring their organisations to life.”
Adding a whole new media world for the Devils’ fans, this is the latest in a series of improvements to the new generation Cardiff Devils since it was launched last year after Matt Burge, CEO of Comms Direct bought out the club.
In addition to introducing Devils TV for the very first time, a number of improvements have been made to the management and squad and there has been significant investment in improving the match night experience and rebranding the cardiffdevils.com website.
Production manager of the Cardiff Devils, Paul Sullivan says: “We’re always looking for ways to bring the game of ice hockey to life and entertain fans on match nights and the launch of Devils TV is one of our latest introductions which we hope will be a crowd pleaser.
“It’s been an extremely busy off-season” continued Sullivan, “and I cannot thank all of my sponsors and helpers enough for their contribution over the past couple of months. We are looking forward to shooting the new squad and new jerseys over the next week ready for our first official league game of the season.”
