MP opens new offices for financial advisers

MP for Monmouth, David Davies, has helped launch the new offices of independent financial advisers, Alchemy Wealth Management Ltd, simultaneously marking a new era for the firm.

Founded by Drewe Lacey in 1982, and jointly headed up by managing director Richard Edwards, Alchemy Wealth Management has outgrown its previous Monmouth head office.

Its new premises at Picton House, Lower Church Street, Chepstow, was officially launched by MP David Davies, who described the move as “a testament to Alchemy’s success.”

The decision to relocate to Picton House comes in response to rapid growth in business in recent years. Future expansion plans will see the company double its staff and turnover in the next five years.

The former merchant’s house, that is now Picton House, has been extensively refurbished to accommodate the current 11-strong Alchemy team, with enough room for the expansion plans currently in place.

Commenting on the move and future of Alchemy, chairman Drewe Lacey said: “We have a long association with the Wye Valley, having been founded in Ross-on-Wye and later moving to Monmouth. The move to Chepstow offices continues this connection with the area, yet is in an ideal location, situated minutes from the M4 corridor. This enables us to service our clients in south Wales, Bristol, the ‘three counties’ of Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire and further afield.

“The move also signals the start of a new chapter for us as a firm and we were delighted that our local MP could be part of it.”
