UK's largest business support event comes to Wales
With Britain officially in its longest recession on record, small businesses and fledgling entrepreneurs are being offered a helping hand when one of the UK's largest business support event comes to Wales for the first time.
Having run in Scotland for the last six years, the New Start Wales Exhibition is designed to support new-starts in business and SMEs access the support they need to grow their businesses despite the difficult economic environment.
With over 120 exhibitors and 60 seminars and workshops on offer, the event which will take place on the 13th and 14th November at Cardiff International Arena, will bring together like-minded businessmen and women and give them direct access to real and practical support from industry professionals.
The organisers also hope to appeal to those who have been made redundant to think about setting up their own venture, rather than looking for employment elsewhere, by providing them with an excellent opportunity to get everything needed to turn business dreams into reality.
Ceri Rogers, organiser of New Start Wales, said: “The latest GDP figures prove that we are looking at a slow and long drawn-out recovery, which is bad news for the Welsh business community. Running a successful business in the last year hasn’t been easy and now it appears that it isn’t going to get any easier in 2010. The recession brings a set of financial hurdles that can even trip the best run businesses.
“But it is not all bad news. There are opportunities out there for businesses that are best prepared and most willing to seize them but it is more important than ever that they stay focused, innovate and develop new skills to ensure they are fit for the future.
“There has never been a more important time to get the right advice for you business and our exhibition will do just that. New Start Wales aims to boost the Welsh economy by providing entrepreneurs with the best chance possible to survive in this challenging environment.”
The exhibition is free to attend. For more information contact 0800 634 3400 or visit www.newstartwales.com
