Washroom provider secures place in Fast Growth 50 index

Leading washroom services provider Indigo Washroom Solutions has been ranked one of the fastest growing companies in Wales after securing a position in the 2009 Wales Fast Growth 50 index (FG50).

Since launching in 2006, the company, which has its HQ in Bridgend, south Wales, has grown consistently and was ranked number seven in the listing after a growth of 288% between 2006 and 2008.

This admirable growth has been due to a strong focus on growing the washroom side of the business across the UK, as well as diversifying into the recycling and disposal of non hazardous waste through sister company indigo Environmental.

Jonathan Bennett, CEO of Indigo Washroom Solutions said: “To be named in such a prestigious list is a fantastic achievement for Indigo as we are very proud of our Welsh roots.

“The growth that we have achieved during the past three years is a huge achievement and a testament to our team of hardworking and loyal staff who have made this progress both possible and enjoyable.

“Over the last 12 months we have doubled our turnover through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions and we are looking to continue on this expansion trail with additional projects in pipeline for 2010.”

Now in its eleventh year, the Fast Growth 50 was established by professor Dylan Jones- Evans to recognise the development of growth in the Welsh economy through annually highlighting the fifty fastest growing companies within the welsh business community.

Originally a one off project to give Welsh-based firms the profile they deserved in an era of large inward investments, FG50 has transformed into a regular fixture in the Welsh business calendar, with increasing numbers of Welsh businesses continuing to enter year on year.

Professor Dylan Jones-Evans, creator of the Wales Fast Growth 50 project, said that these firms were beacons of hope to the Welsh business community during a time of recession.

“I am delighted that indigo is on this year’s Fast Growth 50 list, as being recognised as one of the fifty fastest growing firms out of a Welsh business population of 200,000 is something which the company should be extremely proud of.  All the Fast Growth 50 companies are a credit to themselves and to the Welsh nation and one can only hope that they act as an inspiration to all those in business, and thinking of starting a business, to help get the Welsh economy growing again”.
