Stationery supplier wins £1m contract with Wales' largest building society
A Barry-based stationery supplier is celebrating after securing a contract worth over £1 million with Wales' largest building society.
COS - the Complete Office Solution - has been chosen by the Principality Building Society to supply office stationery and equipment to the organisation and its subsidiaries, Peter Alan Estate Agents and NEMO Personal Finance over the next three years.
Having recently secured contracts with other large Welsh organisations including SA Brains, Acorn and MSS Group the win is an important one for the company as it continues to champion for Welsh businesses to work together in an effort to come out of the recession stronger.
On winning the contract, Managing Director James Emery said: “It is fantastic news for the company that we have been awarded the contract after a very competitive tender. COS prides itself on its ability to meet the needs of a busy office environment whilst continuing to deliver a high end customer service. Winning this account confirms our presence as a leading provider of stationery within the South Wales business community.”
Celebrating forty years in business last year, COS is finding that businesses are looking to companies with a strong heritage and extensive experience when awarding contracts in these uncertain times.
On awarding the tender, Gareth Burch, Buyer of the Principality Building Society said: “We always aim to invite local Welsh businesses to participate within Tender exercises along with multi-national businesses. The contract was awarded to COS after they impressed us with their extensive experience and ability to provide a high quality and dependable service. Like us, they also share strong values and we are delighted to be working with them over the course of the next three years.”
