New abode for accommodation provider
Fast growing, luxury serviced accommodation provider, acityabode, has expanded its UK headquarters with a move to larger offices in Cardiff Bay.
acityabode, one of Wales's Hot 100 Start Ups in 2009, has moved its central office function to a 1800 square foot office in Mount Stuart Square, Cardiff Bay, to house its 15 strong team and make room for future positions and services.
Quickly outgrowing its offices in Splott’s Victorian malt house, The Maltings, the family-run serviced accommodation provider, which started only three years ago, has relocated for a third time, as it embarks on an ambitious growth plan that will see the company expand its current portfolio of luxury serviced apartments across the UK and Ireland over the coming months.
Acting as a central hub for the entire company, which currently has offices in Bristol and Belfast, the new premises will act as a customer service centre for its Cardiff based guests, as well as catering for the business’s reservations, HR, marketing, business development and IT departments.
On moving to the new headquarters, director Paul Gazzard, 30, said: “After the opening of our Bristol office this summer, we are now pleased to announce the expansion of our headquarters in Cardiff. We have now outgrown our premises in The Maltings, which has done a brilliant job in housing us over the last year and a half, however, we now we need more space to allow us to continue our growth as we move into new, key markets and build on the acityabode brand, as the first stop for city visitors in the UK.
Director, Alex Gazzard, 23, continues: “We were keen for Cardiff to remain the hub of all activity due to its excellent location and transport links to the other major cities across the UK. The new office is one of many steps in our expansion plans and as our portfolio of apartments continues to grow across the UK, so too will our staffing numbers. Bringing all of our key business functions under one roof means that we are now in a good position to push forward our plans for the UK and Republic of Ireland. acityabode will be pushing hard throughout 2010 to build its position as a leading accommodation provider.”
Operations director, Ross Gazzard, 28, added: “We wanted to remain in the Cardiff Bay area as it is close to many of our Cardiff based developments, allowing our guests to easily access our main reception for enquiries and key collection, which enhances our already high standard of customer service. We want to be a client facing organisation, so face to face interaction with our guests is essential. The new offices are perfect for this.”
Acityabode’s aim is to become one of the largest providers of first-class serviced accommodation in the UK and Ireland. It currently has over 100 apartments in Cardiff, Bristol and Belfast, with sights set on the Republic of Ireland, other major UK cities over the next 12 months.
