Fordthorne gear up for Cardiff Devils

Fordthorne, Cardiff based Ford Main Dealer franchise, returns to join Cardiff Devils' expanding portfolio of partners as the clubs official vehicle supplier for the 2010 season.

The Ford dealership, based in Penarth, has handed over the keys for a fleet of Cardiff Devils branded Ford vehicles, which will be used by Captain Brad Voth and his teammates, as part of a corporate sponsorship deal promoting ice hockey in Wales.

The agreement, worth £30,000, is mutually beneficial to both Fordthorne, whose vehicles are involved in match night on-ice competitions, as well as the Cardiff Devils whose players are given the opportunity to promote the sport.

Among the vehicles provided, are the Ford Focus RS and the Ford Fiesta ECOnetic, previously voted as BBC Top Gear’s ‘Muscle Car’ and ‘Green Car’ of the year.

Shannon Hope, director of hockey for the Cardiff Devils said: “I would like to welcome back Fordthorne as the official vehicle supplier of Cardiff Devils. The partnership represents a strong match between two organisations who aim to be the best in their field. Fordthorne’s passion and dedication to maintain and develop success strongly compliments the ethos that we have here at the Devils. The new fleet of cars are eye catching, individually designed, and reflect the power, energy and animation which the Devils as an organisation encompasses”.

Trista Thorne, Operation Manager at Fordthorne added: “The Devils as a club has grown tremendously over the past year and we are pleased to return and become a part of this development. It is fantastic to be associated with Wales’s only Elite League ice hockey team”.
