Family run business launch rebrand

A Barry-based office supplies company has unveiled its new identity after a decision to rebrand the company after nearly ten years.

COS - the Complete Office Solution - has rebranded as The COS Group, comprising COS Office, COS Print, COS Interiors, Pitch Promos and Natural Power Wales, as part of the company’s strategic growth plans as they enter into a new decade.

The decision to rebrand comes as the company looks to further expand its presence across south Wales. The new logo, a global evolving sphere of interlocking shapes reflects the diverse offering of COS. Each division is represented by its own unique colour palette which forms the groups overall logo, illustrating the company as a contemporary, diverse and constantly evolving brand.

Set up by Peter Emery in 1968 after working for Sandhurst Stationers (part of the WH Smiths Group) for a number of years, the business, then called Celtic Office Supplies, was originally based in Dinas Powys and employed four people. In 1997, following the purchase of a major local competitor, Cardiff Office Supplies, the business changed its name to COS - the Complete Office Solution. The company which now employs 45 people and turns over £6.5 million, celebrated its fortieth anniversary in 2008.

Commenting on the rebrand, managing director of the COS Group, James Emery said: “ We are excited about taking the company forward with its new identity, brand and logo, all of which reflect our current growth, ambition, and vision for future expansion. Since launching over forty years ago, the company has branched out into several sectors including renewable energy. We decided that bringing all of the divisions under one umbrella, whilst emphasising their individual divisional identities would exemplify the expertise that we now offer.”

Having served the business community in south Wales for over four decades, COS was founded on the principles of providing high end office supplies and prides itself on its service, quality and competitive prices.

The COS Group employed the services of Cardiff-based design agency limegreentangerine to help develop their external and internal branding across exhibition, livery, staff uniforms, print and online.
