Local Law firm has tea with the Mayor

One of Wales' leading law firm based in Newport and Pontypool, was formally invited for afternoon tea with the Mayor of Newport, in honour of its recent nationally acclaimed award.

Watkins & Gunn Solicitors, based in Newport, was invited to the Civic Centre to have tea with Mayor Glyn Jarvis, in honour of it being the only law firm in Wales to win a coveted Law Society Excellence Award.

Watkins & Gunn Solicitors scooped the award at the prestigious black tie ceremony in London, picking up the Lexcel Award in Practice Management.

Attended by more than 550 leading lawyers from across England and Wales and joined by the President of the Law Society and BBC Broadcaster Mishal Husain, the awards rewarded the most outstanding practitioners and firms in the legal field.
