Rise in commercial moves brings division back to Newport

Fox Moving and Storage, one of the UK's leading removal and storage specialists, has relocated its business moving division to Wales, in response to an increase in Welsh commercial moves.

Fox Moving and Storage, based in Cwmbran, has moved its business removal division from Stourbridge in the West Midlands, to its head offices in Cwmbran, in order to develop the service and respond to a recent rise in commercial moves throughout Wales.

The decision to relocate the division, which specialises in moving businesses throughout the UK, Europe and overseas, comes in response to an increase in demand for office relocation and rationalisation across Wales and also forms part of Fox Moving and Storage’s development plans, as it looks to focus its efforts on growing the commercial moving; international moving and self storage arms of the company.

Recent Welsh commercial clients include Caerphilly County Council’s move of 650 staff to Tredomen Business Park;  Ceredigion County Council and Welsh Assembly Government both moving to adjacent, new premises in Aberystwyth; Gwent Police, and South Wales NHS Ambulance Trust.  In the private sector Fox has established strong links with many large companies and employers throughout the principality.

Headed up by Rob Moody, the business moving division is a substantial part of the company and Fox is looking to increase this considerably.

Paul Fox, Managing Director of Fox Moving and Storage commented: “We are pleased to be moving the division to Wales in order to take advantage of activity in the area and develop our service. With a substantial operation in Cardiff and head office in Cwmbran, we are in the perfect locations to expand this division, with its excellent transport, rail and shipping links. Regular communication is vital to the success of any relocation and with offices close to the M4, we are still able to meet and service our customer base around the UK and maintain relationships throughout.”
Stephen Denning, director of Fox Moving and Storage, added: “It is great to see the market moving again, and we look forward to a prosperous year, helping business across Wales with their commercial move requirements.
“As our focus is now on developing the business moving division, relocating to the head offices in Wales will also give us immediate access to resources needed to help it develop and expand in the area, as we look to take advantage of the upturn in business activity.”

Fox Moving and Storage was set up in 1971 and now has 8 locations throughout the UK, most recently acquiring international removal business, Vanpac International in Southampton from US based parent company, Atlas World Group.

Fox Moving and Storage can now carry out office moves of all sizes from small, local moves to larger, international moves for companies and divisions with hundreds of employees. Fox also provides crate hire, packing services, archive removal and storage, project planning, space planning, heavy lifting, safes and machinery.
