Welsh IFA firm seeks acquisitions
Welsh independent financial adviser firm, Alchemy Wealth Management, has confirmed that it is actively seeking acquisitions as the company looks to become the largest firm in Wales.
The Chepstow-based firm which was recently acquired by the Portland Financial Management Group for an undisclosed sum, is currently looking to acquire established independent financial adviser firms in south Wales and the south West of England through acquisitions and mergers as it looks to continue to further grow its market share.
On seeking acquisitions, Richard Edwards, managing director of Alchemy Wealth Management said: “The recent inclusion into the Portland Management Financial Group earlier this year has presented Alchemy Wealth Management with an array of opportunities to further grow the business.
“Through strategic acquisitions we would be able to not only enhance our existing offering but also drive our already strong portfolio offering into new geographical locations.”
Originally founded as ‘Drewe Lacey Financial Planning Ltd, the company was rebranded in April 2003 to ‘Alchemy Wealth Management Ltd’ when the company merged with Bridgend Practice 'Alchemy' headed up by then independent financial advisor, Richard Edwards.
Added executive chairman Drewe Lacey: “Over the last eight years, we have worked very hard to build the brand of Alchemy Wealth Management in Wales and we are now at the stage where we are ready to embark on a period of extensive growth.
“This acquisition strategy is part of our ambitious growth plans as we continue to focus our efforts in further growing our market share, becoming the major IFA in Wales and across the bridge.”
Established in 1996, Alchemy Wealth Management provides clients with a professional financial planning service. The company specialises in tax planning, investments, pensions, corporate financial planning and health insurance for both private and corporate customers in addition to a number of specialist services.
