Telecoms provider wins local housing contract

A Barry-based telecoms specialist is celebrating a contract win with a new registered social landlord launching in Blaenau Gwent.

TWL Voice & Data has been chosen to supply and install Mitel telephone systems to Tai Calon Community Housing, a registered social landlord set up after Blaenau Gwent tenants voted to transfer the ownership and management of the Council’s 6,300 homes last July.

The telecoms specialist was awarded the contract which will be spread across the next four years, after a competitive tender against a number of other telecoms providers.

Recently named an exclusive reseller of Mitel in south Wales, TWL Voice & Data will supply Tai Calon with high end technology including computer telephone integration systems, as well as remote working capabilities that will enable greater flexibility within the workplace.

Tai Calon Community Housing is a new independent not-for-profit registered social landlord set up by the council and monitored by the Assembly consisting of tenants, council members and independent experts.
