Young must have a say

I WAS out and about in Penarth recently and had a great day talking to people about my policies and aims for Cardiff South and Penarth, which generated a lot of support.

However I couldn’t help notice that many young voters aged between 18 and 25 were not interested in politics at all.

I will be writing to all parties to request urgent talks on how we can all appeal to younger voters.

After speaking to many people, it became clear that a great deal of younger voters were dismayed about politics, no matter what party you were representing.

It is very sad to see that young voters are not engaging with politics.

I feel that many young voters have a great deal to offer and can contribute enormously to local and national politics. We need them. All parties must get together and find a way to re-engage with these voters before it becomes too late.
