Acityabode make a key appointment
Leading, family-run, serviced accommodation provider, acityabode, has made a key appointment as part of major expansion plans.
Cardiff based, acityabode, which provides luxury serviced apartments to business travellers and visitors across major UK destinations, has appointed Karen Nicholson, 35, as area operations manager for acityabode’s Irish operations.
A graduate in Computing and Information Systems from Ulster University, Karen began her professional career as a planner for Graf Air Freight, San Francisco, later working for blue chip company, Faber Maunsell AECOM as a transport planning consultant.
Karen’s new role as area operations manager for acityabode will see her manage existing and potential business relationships in Ireland and oversee acityabode’s day to day operational activities, whilst also driving business development. Karen’s new role will include managing the relationship with Harcourt, acityabode’s current property supplier in Belfast and will also grow along with the acityabode’s major expansion plans throughout the rest of Ireland.
Commenting on her appointment Karen said: “I am thoroughly delighted to be appointed as operations director for acityabode. Its exciting to be part of such a thriving young team and I am looking forward to combining my organisational experience with my passion for property, in order to assist acityabode with its lucrative expansion plans across Ireland.”
Paul Gazzard, managing director of acityabode added: “The appointment of Karen is a key part of our expansion, as she will be the main driving force in helping acityabode expand across Ireland. Her previous skills and experience of working for a large, blue chip organisation has given her vision and drive, which compliments acityabode’s work ethos. She is an asset to the business as we look to become the leading provider of serviced accommodation throughout the UK”.
Acityabode, now in its third year of trading, has already secured several hundred of apartments across the UK and Ireland, with plans in place to expand through-out the UK.
Recently voted number 28 in Wales’s Hot 100, acityabode now employees 30 staff across Cardiff, Bristol and Belfast and recently set up its first franchise model in Bristol.
