The Devils need you!

The Cardiff Devils have teamed up with Media Wales to search for a brand new mascot to lead the team to victory throughout the 2009/2010 ice hockey season.

The Cardiff Devils are looking for a committed and confident individual to take part in the ‘Release the Devil in you’ auditions.
 

The new Cardiff devils mascot will accompany ‘LucyFur’ in entertaining Devils fans at all home games, provide support to the team and perform at certain team appearances and events.
 

The new mascot must be a confident risk taker, who is willing take part in stunts and tricks in order to engage a live audience. They must also be able and willing to think creatively and improvise in order to entertain the crowds.
 

The judging panel will consist of current mascot, LucyFur, Cardiff Devils Captain, Brad Voth, marketing executive, Keira Evans-Determan, director of hockey, Shannon Hope and a Media Wales representative.
Auditionees will be required to introduce themselves, followed by a demonstration of how they would celebrate a win or a goal in a brand new mascot costume, which will be revealed on the day.
 

Shannon Hope commented: “We are really looking forward to meeting the new mascot and urge anyone who is confident and passionate about the game, or simply looking for some acting or drama experience to come forward and take part in the auditions.”
 

Brad Voth added: “The new mascot needs to be courageous and fun and be able to get the crowd going! Someone with a bubbly personality who will be committed to the role would be perfect.”
