Business Improvement Assessor
£21k - £23k per annum

Due to continued growth we are seeking highly talented individuals to join the freshbaked Business team.

With a sound background in engineering/manufacturing you will manage your own case-load using a variety of assessment techniques to facilitate candidate progression through Business Improvement Techniques programmes.

Person Specification:

Assessment

• To provide a thorough Initial Guidance for all new Candidates and to complete all associated DCELLS paperwork
• To undertake regular visits at the Candidate’s place of work to plan and carry out assessments and facilitate the progression of their qualification/s in line with the NVQ Code of Practice
• To be accessible, and to motivate and encourage all Candidates, providing them with clear guidance and support to ensure fair and reliable assessment is maintained
• To actively encourage the involvement of the Candidate’s Line Manager in the assessment process
• To carry out a formal review with the Candidate and a company representative on a monthly basis
• To effectively plan realistic target dates for completion and to ensure that these are met
• To ensure a complete and comprehensive audit trail and completion of all associated administrative work in line with DCELLS and Awarding Body requirements
• To quickly deal with any queries from Candidates to prevent early leavers

Quality

• To contribute to Internal Verification in line with Joint Awarding Body Requirements as per the Internal Verifier Job Description

Continuous Professional Development

• To contribute to Route and IV Standardisation Meetings
• To identify and share best practice
• To participate in training and development activities to ensure own continuous professional development
• To maintain comprehensive records of self-development including Statement of Occupational Competence and Continuous Development Plan

General

• To assume any other tasks and duties required by the business, commensurate with level of role

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Educated to Level 3 or equivalent
• Achieved TDLB D32, D33 & D34, or A & V Units (or working towards)
• A minimum of three years relevant occupational competence up to level 3 as a minimum in routes to be delivered (level 4 where specified)
• PC Literate – intermediate level of skill required
• High level of professionalism
• Willingness to embrace feedback, learn from results and take responsibility for personal development to acquire new skills and share knowledge
• Self motivated and results orientated with a desire to work towards individual and team targets
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
• Enthusiastic and dedicated to developing others with the ability to motivate and inspire
• Full UK Driving Licence with Business Cover Insurance
