Continuous Improvement
Overview:
Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) techniques have been used extensively in businesses throughout the world since American and British business improvement gurus taught Japanese organisations tools such as PDCA, SPC and Process Mapping after the Second World War.
These techniques have subsequently been enhanced and added to over the years and can now be applied in any organisation to improve processes and equipment, eliminate NVA activity and drive down costs.
Objectives:
We use the most popular methods of solving problems following Dr W Edwards Deming's Improvement Cycle.
Throughout the 12 stages, a variety of techniques will be applied to issues that Contour would like solved, using the groups to follow the correct methodology and identify sustainable solutions. Some of the analytical tools we would use are shown opposite.
