Introduction to Emotional Intelligence
Overview:
Experts are now recognising that high levels of Emotional Intelligence (EI) are essential for business success and that our EI is located in a separate part of our brain to IQ. EI is about feelings, understanding, recognising and managing them, not only in ourselves but those we work with. It helps us make decisions, empathise, work well with others, influence and lead others. EI is linked to our motivation and helps us to control impulsive reactions.
"Emotional Intelligence is a different way of being smart".....Dan Goleman 1996
