Business services group take fresh approach to funding

The brainchild of Richard Matthews, CEO of freshbaked Business Services Group, the scheme aims to assist companies across south Wales emerge from the recession.

The 50/50 scheme offers businesses 50 per cent funding towards any of the group’s services – training, recruitment, telecommunications, PR and design – through a range of innovative business support solutions: ‘buy one training course and get another free’, ‘pay for one vacancy and we will fill another for free’, ‘buy one day of PR and get the other for free’, ‘give us your fixed line or mobile business and we’ll give you broadband for free’, ‘get a free brand identity with every cms website’.

On launching the new scheme, Matthews said: “With the recent news that the grant culture has come to an end in Wales, we felt it was important that businesses continued to have access to support and advice to help them not only maximise their budgets but also reach their full growth potential.

“With a large proportion of businesses relying heavily on funding many will have been affected greatly by the recent cuts. Our help and advice will range from identifying how businesses can benefit from training as well offering funding towards companies wanting to rebrand and recruit new staff.”

Designed to meet the needs of businesses of all sizes and across all sectors, the scheme will help to fill the void left by the recent axing of the long-established business grant culture. Added Matthews: “As a business services group we are able to offer a range of innovative business support solutions, enabling businesses to focus on growing their businesses without having to worry about spiraling costs.

“Wales is a hotbed of innovative businesses and talented entrepreneurs and as a business services group freshbaked is well placed to offer services to meet the requirements of these growing businesses.”
