I.T Practioners Level 2 NVQOverview:This NVQ is designed to reflect the work of individuals whose job role includes Business Management, Systems Operation, Networking and/or Programming Software/Development of IT, in their day to day work, and recognises skills and knowledge already acquired either through other qualifications or previous experience and learning. The units within this qualification have been assigned specified unit values. To achieve a full Level 2 NVQ for IT Practitioners, candidates must complete a minimum total of 100 Unit Values (UV). Candidates must complete two mandatory units and then choose the optional units that best suit their work situation and job role. Objectives:The objective of this qualification is to recognise the application of a range of IT skills and knowledge in the workplace, meeting employer workforce demands. The flexibility of this qualification will enable sn individuals skills to be adapted for a specific job and employer requirement. This qualification will allow for flexibility and choice. Candidates and employers can identify the most appropriate units and levels of skills to meet their needs in the workplace and candidates can have a range of competences recognised at lower or higher level than the base level chosen, where appropriate.
